WELKS 2010 Judged by Chris Oatridge

Thank you to the committee for a well run show, we were blessed with beautiful weather, the ring was large & tested the handlers' fitness, as I asked for a lot of movement. Thank you all exhibitors for your entry & for accepting my decisions so sportingly.

I Bolt's Buffrey Belleissimo at Fakenham,
b/s of 9 years, good overall construction, attractive head, dark eye, very good forehand, defined wither, moderate bend of stifle, positive movement;
2 Lewis Hunterswood Talk Of The Town, nicely decorated b/s, appealing head with correct skull shape, nicely proportioned body, good turn of stifle, covered the ground & had super front action;
3 Saunder's Dallydyl Imaginary Friend.

I Cliff & Hipkiss Boutonneux Appollo,
scopey young male with strong bone, nice decoration & good body shape, good lay of shoulder, defined wither, nice tailset, bend of stifle & strong loin. used his hocks on the move & had extension;
2 Lambs Kalsidom Dexter by Dalpetro, promising black with attractive head & lovely dark eye, good black pigment, nice width & depth of chest, good shoulders, moderate bend of stifle, moved well;
3 Thorne's Kesteven Helter Skelter at Castletop.

I Whiting's Cibrith Captain Kirk,
eyecatching black with bold spotting on crisp white coat, a little lacking in head decoration, but still of a nice shape. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, strong straight bone, tight feet, moved stylishly;
2 Talbot's Winflash Willie Do It at Leaveslake, close up to I, good appealing head & expression, attractive spotty face & lovely dark eye, good depth of brisket, strong loin. good tailset, nice depth of thigh well defined hocks, moved soundly;
3 Littler's Kelevra Man In The Mirror.

I Polhills Fmcham Hurricane Jack at Kymvale,
elegant liver dog, maturing nicely, well balanced with good angulation, attractive head, shoulders well laid back, nice spring of rib good topline kept on the move, went effortlessly;
2 Dodds & Pearson s Kelevra Hudson Hawk, well bodied black boy with good straight, strong bone & well shaped body, deep brisket, good width of chest & bend of stif e, tidy feet moved well. Just a little lacklustre;
3 Sorensen's Fincham Tropical Winds.

1 Croft's Doubtwell Show Stopper,
masculine black dog with strong pigment & clean decoration, presented a lovely outline, clean & well arched neck, sloping shoulders & return of upper arm, depth of brisket, short strong loin in tune with handler;
2 Christie's Sophtspot Abracadabra, lovely black that stood over a lot of ground, good reach of neck & correct length of upper arm, deep brisket into well placed forelegs, well ribbed up, attractive head, dark eye. Not quite so positive on the move as I;
3 Williams' Phadante Brighton Rock.

I McCarthy's Kilndandy Old Copper,
nicely decorated & good colour liver, a well made dog throughout, maturing nicely & filled the eye. Croup a bit steep, but he moved out well & covered the ground with good hock action;
2 Corcoran's Dalmark The Sandwizard, rich shade of liver & a lovely shape all round, balanced throughout with well angled forequarters & correct length of upper arm, good length of stride on the move. A very well made & elegant dog, but unfortunately out of coat;
3 Hernandez's Dalminshi Star Gazer.

I Hardy's Mountsorrel Crescendo of Shydally,
a well put together black with excellent angulation, good length of upper arm, well defined wither showing correct shoulder placement, moved easily with plenty of extension as the angulation would suggest;
2 Kay's Kaytian One Kool Kat, liver of pleasing shape & clean outline, well presented, nicely decorated, correct width of chest, deep brisket, good return of upper arm into tight elbows, shown to advantage & moved steadily;
3 Goff-Leggett's Washakie Nutcracker Prince.

I Casey's Ch/lr Ch Camargue Calvin Klein,
masculine & impressive black dog with great ring presence & put down in super condition, substantial without being overdone in anyway, lovely dark eye with good expression framed with well set ears, correct width of chest, good lay of shoulder & return of upper arm, has depth of thigh & good coupling, overall a strong balanced dog with economy of movement, he fits the Standard & I felt he could follow a carriage all day long. CC & BOB;
2 Stock's Ch Dalmark The Shaded Moon at Nospar,
lovely liver, elegant, clean outline & was in superb condition, lovely topline & tailset, good reach of neck & lay of shoulder, well developed second thigh, really fills the eye, has elegance & substance with appealing head & expression. RCC;
3 Hartley & Griffiths' Ch CreaganbreckThe Favourite at Miragua.

I Rose's Washakie Idaho by Candidals,
showy black bitch of 7 years, striking black pigment, clean lines, pretty face, lovely condition, really up on her toes & enjoying her day out, she powered around the ring;
2 Russell's Bryedal Mayerling at Dalynrics, a good honest type who is very well made & meets the Standard, 9 years, nice head proportions, good colour liver, nice width of thigh, moved easily.

Some very promising puppies in these two classes.
I Wright's Boutonneuxx Artemis of Miltbelle.she has it all going for her, from her well shaped head, reach of neck, well proportioned body, to her good colour & decoration, shows strength but femininity, moved with good reach & drive;
2 Healey's Hebemor Spice Dice, lovely liver of a richer shade, balanced angulation, strong, straight bone into well knuckled feet, lovely dark amber eye, showed Jood powerful movement, driving from rounded rearquarters;
3 Sheldon's outonneux Galathea at Gemmont.

I Goff-Leggett's Mullabouy Miss Chief of Washakie,
a cracking young black, has depth & substance throughout with a pretty fac& framed by well set ears, good topline & tailset, well developed chest, deep thighs & good bend of stifle, strong rearquarters;
2 Gibbs' Phadante Dixie Lily, equally appealing black bitch, very elegant & feminine & with correct construction, dark eye, straight bone into catfeet, defined wither, deep brisket, well proportioned, moved with ease;
3 Sanson's Camargue Centrepage.

I Neath-Duggan's Buffrey Gift Wrapped,
substantially made black with lovely conformation, good depth & width of chest, rounded bone, catfeet, good spring of rib, strong loin, beautifully rounded quarters that enabled her to cover the ground effortlessly;
2 Chance & Dodd's Tynevale Take A Chance, liver with lots of potential, very feminine, nice clean lines, good straight front, bend of stifle, good tailset, well ribbed up, good mover;
3 Johnson's Tynevale Take Three To Tango.

I Dunnachie's Dvojica Voulez Vous,
the thing I loved about this young girl was her balance, everything in proportion & nothing exaggerated, each part flowing into the next, good layback of rib, short strong loin, catfeet, well placed shoulders, pretty head with darkest of eyes, effortless movement with excellent foot placing & tracking, the icing on the cake was her decoration & condition, a well deserved third CC;
2 Hughes & Smith's Tamilanda Pretty In Pink,
a really lovely classy black, bags of potential, has all the essentials in construction & movement, was considered in the challenge, should have a bright future;
3 Dore's Dalidor Ace Of Diamonds.

GB (8,1) I Whincup's Tamilanda Hot Pink,
a nicely balanced girl, strong but feminine, well proportioned head into reach of neck, well laid Shoulders & good upper arm, deep chest, good ribcage, defined hocks, moved purposefully;
2 Thorner's Tolutim Drambuie, a black of good demeanour, has all the essentials in good fit condition, although I would prefer a bit more weight. Attractive head, dark eye, tight feet, plenty of heart & lungroom, well muscled quarters that drove her around the ring;
3 Tillson's Spotswood Empress Leilia at Elabri.

I Palmer's Cibrith Sweet Chestnut by Dakiluja,
quality liver, everything well put together, pretty feminine head with dark amber eye, graceful arched neck, clean wither, very good front assembly with well placed shoulders & good upper arm, moderate turn of stifle, moved with freedom & ease;
2 Williams' Phadante Bossa Nova Baby, a stronger looking black who had rounded bone, catfeet, good depth of thigh & well developed second thigh, deep chest, good topline, well knuckled feet, really covered the ground on the move;
3 T Drambuie.

LB (12,3)

I Smallwood's Mapplewell Dancing Queen of Lascelles,
what a gorgeous quality well constructed liver, balanced throughout, feminine pretty head, well set ears, rich liver spotting, good topline & tailset, responded well to handler & gave a good account of herself on the move;
2 Fort's Shulune Fantazy On Ice, close up to I, upstanding black, pleasing shape, stands foresquare, commands attention, attractive head proportions, deep brisket, straight strong bone, attentive to handler, moved & showed really well;
3 Scott-Alien & Davis' Tolutim Zaffre.

OB (14,3).

Some difficult decisions in this class.
I Cuthbertson's Ch Kalsidoni Garnet, have always liked this bitch & she was on top form, I am in danger of repeating myself with regard to construction, so will just say she scored in all the breed points & was balanced, well made & floated around the ring, a well deserved RCC;
2 Neath-Duggan's Ch Buffrey Sprig O'Mint,
oozes quality, put down in sparkling condition with deep black pigment & whitest of white coats, pushed I all the way & I was splitting hairs, equally well made & with great extension on the move, a worthy ch;
3 Dodds & Pearson's Ch Camargue Gucci Envy.
