I would like to thank the club not only for inviting me to judge our lovely breed, but for the warm welcome I received. I would also like to thank the exhibitors, for what I am told is a record entry at
this show. I am sure the change of venue to Gretna played a great part in this.
All except one exhibit were presented in good clean condition. Some nails need urgent attention and training your Dalmatian to run in a straight line would make assessing movement a little easier. Some
very straight shoulders and lack of forechest are still prevalent, but on the whole I was very pleased with my major winners.
Dogs
Puppy. 4 (1a)
1. 1st MacDonald & Dunnachie's Dvojica Vital Vote. Black 6 months old and very much a baby. Nice head with the kindest expression. Good shoulder and forechest on good round bone down to correct
feet. Level topline, correct tailset with good rear angulation. Strode out well. Well up for size, hope he doesn't get much taller.
2. 2nd Clements' Caldecacre Crown Imperial. Another baby, just 6 months on the day at his first outing. Liver of a nice size with a masculine head. Excellent shoulder and depth of chest. Level topline,
strong hindquarters with well let down hocks. Would have liked a little more length of neck. Just preferred the movement of 1 today but look forward to seeing him mature and settle.
3. 33rd Carruthers' Shulune Ice and Fire.
Junior. 6 (1a)
1. 1st Whiting's Cibrith Captain Kirk. Black with whitest of coats and dense pigment, not in it's best condition today, but nevertheless a nice dog. Pleasing head, good body which has matured greatly
since I last judged him. Good topline held well on the move. Strides out covering ground well. Just a little proud of his tail at times which spoils his outline.
2. 2nd Talbot's Winflash Wille Do It at Leaveslake. Black of correct size, nice spotted face. Good shoulder placement, deep brisket and well off for bone. Moved out well with good striding action,
holding a level topline. Overall a nice honest dog, but would prefer a neater bite which cost him this class.
3. 3rd Munro's Tanstar Sea the Stars.
Special Yearling. 4 (1a)
1 Whiting's Cibrith Captain Kirk. As before
2 Markey's Heaven Sent Phreeman Calix with Dalissm. Black with nice head, good straight forelegs moved OK.
3 Stout's Tynevale Tranquil Troodos
Maiden. No entries
Novice 1
1 Carruthers' Shulune Ice and Fire. Black, 6 months old, 3rd in puppy. Rangier type, longer cast, well off for bone. A little erratic on the move so difficult to assess.
Graduate. 4 (1a)
1Talbot's Winflash Wille Do It at Leaveslake. 2nd in Junior, but despite previous findings, felt this dog had more good attributes than the opposition in this class.
2 Kaal's Dalmark the Sandman at Schunikka. Liver, nice head and expression with dark eye. Nice neck into well laid shoulders, moved with fluidity but his tail set let him down.
3 Stout's Tynevale Tranquil Troodos
Post Graduate. 1 (1a)
Limit. 2 (0a)
1 1 Christie's Sophtspot Abracadabra JW. Black quality upstanding male. Taller with nice dark eye, good set shoulders with a level topline, correct tailset. Good solid bone down to lovely tight feet.
Beautiful fluid movement. RBD
2 2 Clements' Perdita's Right as Rain at Caldecacre (IMP). Liver solid male, heavier in type but of correct height. Coarser head, excellent shoulder and level topline. Covered the ground effortlessly
with huge strides, but just preferred 1 fore and aft. Best Liver Dog.
Open. 4 (3a)
1 1st Todhunter's Takesti MoonDancer. Black I have always admired. A good honest dog of correct size. Masculine but not over done in any way. A good head with the darkest of eye, excellent arch of neck
into correct shoulder placement. Level topline, strong hindquarters which enable him to move with such drive and efficiency. A little unsettled in the class, disliked the floor surface, but redeemed himself in the
challenge taking Best Dog and Best in Show.
Veteran. 3 (2a)
1 1st Beattie's Smart Boy Prince SH CM. Black 7 yr old. More excitable than the puppies! Black, finer boned with nice head. Unable to assess his movement because he was not on 4 legs long enough.
Enjoyed his day out.
Bitches
Puppy. 10 (3a)
1 1st Goodswen's Tamilanda Pink Angel from Alphadal. Really liked this bitch.Black 8 month old with pleasing head and darkest eye. Well off for bone, good forechest, and straight forelegs down to tight
feet. Strong hindquarters for one so young, enabling her to move out well. Held a level topline on the move. Workmanlike bitch yet feminine. Best Puppy in Show.
2 2nd Chance & Dodds' Dvojica Vivid Vocation. Black 6 months old. Nice size with good head and expression. Well off for bone with nice level topline. Excellent hindquarter angulation with well
muscled thigh. Moved really well for one so young.

1 1st Addy's Creaganbrec Evie Rose. Black of correct size. Heavier marked with nice head and dark eye. Good shoulder, tight feet. Strong hindquarters with plenty of second thigh. Overlooked in puppy
class, but she showed herself off well to take this class.
2 2nd Fort's Shulune Fantasy Snapdragon. Liver on the whitest coat. Good eye, a little light of eye, but that may come. Longer in loin, moved well. Res in puppy, just lost out to 1 this time.

3 3rd Carruther's Shulune Ice Fantasy
Graduate. 4 (1a)
1 1st Brayshay-Allen's Sassafras Brown Sugar. Liver bitch well up for size. Substantial but feminine with attractive head and good eye. Good round bone, level topline, excels in hindquarters. Strong
thigh which took her around the ring with ease. Close for RBB but just lacked a little sparkle. Beautifel bitch.
2 2nd Kaal's Caldecacre Celsie Von Schunikka. Liver densely spotted with very spotty face and the darkest of eye. Straight front legs well angulated hindquarters. Elegant on the move. Finer in type but
had matured well since I last judged her as a youngster.
3 3rd Markey's Bailey's Irish Cream.
Post Graduate. 4 (1a)
1 1st Dinsdale's Koroyza Candy Floss at Dalesbred. Black with brilliant white coat and dense pigment. Rangier type with nice head and expression, good bone and forechest. Well angulated rear moved well
on tight feet.
2 2nd Werchda's Boutonneux Belle of the Ball. Black, lovely type, good make and shape. Nice head well placed shoulder and good hindquarters. Close decision, just would have liked a little more forechest.
3 3rd Holburn's Glenlion Reul Na Mara
Limit. 8 (2a)
1 1st Hughes & Smith's Tamilanda Pretty in Pink JW. Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring. Black with dense pigment, pleasing head and dark eye. Well muscled with good shoulder placement,
level topline held well on the move. Strong thigh excels in hindquarters. Well off for bone. Strong and substantial but feminine in every way, looks as though she could work all day. Moved with such ease. Best
Bitch. RBIS .Apparently sister to best puppy and RBB, so a very good day for this kennel.
2 2nd Addy's Creagenbrec Raven Black. Black compact bitch of correct size. Dark eye, plenty of bone. Very feminine, moved well.
3 3rd Whincup's Tamilanda Lilly the Pink JW SH CM

2 2nd Clements' Perdita's Another Chance for Caldecacre (IMP). Dense liver spotted of correct height. Nice head, good round bone, well off for forechest with muscular hindquarters. Effortless mover,
covering the ground well, would just prefer a little more length of neck to give a better outine.
3 3rd Gamble's Mullabuoy Solo Baby
Veteran. 2 (1a)
· 1st Christie's Ch Haith's Hallmarked by Sophtspot. Black 9 years young quality bitch, certainly not showing her age, looking in good condition with just a little extra weight. Feminine and elegant
with nice head and dark eye. Good shoulder placement, moved well.
Brace. 7 (5a)
· 1st Johnson's Liver pair. Could be twins. Moved in total unison, not putting a foot out of place.
· 2nd Clement's liver pair. Very similar in type, both moving well….just not quite together. Practice will make perfect.
