Dalmatians
We have enough trials & tribulations trying to breed a well constructed animal & now many exhibits carry ticks/flecks. This is a big fault & some dogs were penalised for this. This fault has
increased since last judging two years ago.

(4,1a) 1 Cliff & Hipkiss' Buntonneux Apolo, appealing b/w, lovely spotting, good strong body, first & second thigh, tight feet, correct tailset. Just lacking depth of body but time is on her side; 2 Lamb's Kalsidoni Dexter by Dalpetro, b/w, a touch smaller than 1, good dark eye, moved correctly with even pace; 3 Markey's Heaven Sent Phreeman Calix with Dalissm.
PD (2,1) 2 Talbot's Winflash Willie Do It at Leaveslake, lovely type b/w, balanced head, dark eye, good strong topline, muscled quarters, well ribbed, correct tail carriage, a worthy red card.

(7,1) 1 Whiting's Cibrith Carptain Kirk, b/w, fairly compact, good spotting, kind head, good reach of neck, depth of rib. Tailset not the best; 2 Dodds & Pearson's Kelevra Hudson Hawk, would like more stifle. His movement was a plus; 3 Townson & Pardoe's Buffrey Follow That Star.

(4) 1 Croft's Doublewell Show Stopper, b/w, handsome dog, well balanced body, lovely set-on of head, good eye, depth & layback of rib, sound movement; 2 Williams' Phadante Brighton Rock, l/w all in proportion, lovely head, muscled quarters. Spring spoilt by hocks; 3 Christie's Sophspot Abracadabra.

(8,3) 1 Burrows' Daedalus Deacon Blue at Shacarlu, b/w of correct size, good bone, dark eye, well muscled, movement his best point; 2 Gates-Raw & Garton's Dalendale Quiet Riot, l/w slightly larger type but elegant, kind head, clean reach of neck, nice turn of stifle, good colour of spotting; 3 Alcock's Mapplewell Chocolate Box for Dalspartan.

(3,1) 1 Goff-Leggett's Washakie Aslan, l/w, loved the outline which carried good muscle throughout, strong over the loin, excellent turn of stifle, a joy to see balanced movement. RCC; 2 Adderley's Leiahart Chicago Bear, b/w, another pleasing exhibit, dense spotting, clean reach of neck, depth of body, tall quarters, strong fit dog.

(9) 1 Smith's Dalleaf Mulberry, l/w, well presented & lovely type, enough size, beautiful spotting, stands well over the ground showing off his assets, gave off his best when on the move. CC; 2 Bolt's Ch Fakenham Flash Gordon, l/w, similar to 1 in size & spotting, kind head, level topline, full quarters, turn of stifle, good tail carriage. A touch heavy on shoulder. Another who can show a good stride & pace; 3 Lewis' Man About Town at Hunterswood.

(5,1) 1 Quayle's Cubalibre Spot On, b/w, this lovely bitch has all the qualities we should be looking for in breeding, classic outline, all in proportion, excellent coat & spotting, well laid shoulder, strong over the loins, good bone & feet, tail carriage, confidence of one who's been about but I gather it was her first show, I would love to take this one home, she is aptly named. BP; 2 Sheldon's Boutonneux Galathea at Gemmont, b/w, classic spotting, clean neck, developed quarters, time for her to let down in depth of body, moved well over the ground; 3 Newton & Newton-O'brien's Cubalibre Polkadot.

Can move when she puts her mind to it; 3 Adderley's Phadante Bohemian Rhapsody.

RCC; 2 Smallwood's Mapplewell Dancing Queeen of Lascelles, l/w, similar style to 1, a touch lighter, lovely type, good layback of rib, turn of stifle, well muscled, another true mover; 3 Lamb's Dalpetro Desdemona.

I looked up my back notes & see that I gave her 1st in Junior two years ago, she has come a long way.
