This was my first ch show appointment. We had a super sized ring which allowed for the dogs to be really moved out to their best advantage. Some dogs did not cope well with moving back towards me down the slope & lost out on placings due to incorrect fronts, pinning in or throwing their legs out wide to cope. Those with correct front angulation & length of upper arm, along with correct muscle distribution faired best & deserved their placing.

The bitches far exceeded the dogs for real depth of quality, although I was delighted with my top winners, both dog & bitch & I was pleased to award the third CC to Timmie Willie with Lilal who is a very worthy ch.

PD (7,2a) 1 Corcoran's Dalmark The Sandwizard, liver, 11 months, excellent coat & pigmentation, correct front & shoulders giving lovely level topline with no wrinkling across the withers, free moving with long strides, his handler does well to keep up with him, well up to size, won on movement, happy confident puppy, handled to advantage; 2 Croft's Doubtwell Show Stopper, black, 11 months, great temperament, lovely masculine head, dark eyes, good level topline which he held on the move. Lost out to 1 on movement when tackling the down hill section; 3 Dodds & Pearson's Kelevra Hudson Hawk.

JD (7) 1 Christie's Sophtspot Abracadabra, black, even spotting, excellent coat, lovely head & expression, masculine but elegant, correct front angulation, giving forechest & rear angulation, allowing him to drive around the ring, well muscled; 2 Rose's Candidals Run Forest Run, liver, excellent pigmentation, attractive spotting, attractively spotted ears, correct angulation, good round bone, moved freely, difficult decision between 1 & 2; 3 Goodswen's Tamilanda Pink Vigilante from Alphadal.

PGD (5) 1 Adderley's Leiahart Chicago Bear, black, very well constructed male, good round bone, well muscled, but not overdone, so still elegant, correct size & shaped masculine head framed by nicely broken & well carried ears, dark eyes, giving lovely expression, correct topline & tail carriage, a great picture driving round the ring, well deserved RCC; 2 Rowe's Vecturacanis Night Flyer, black, happy disposition, dog displaying masculinity, but not the coarseness in head that was apparent in some, good ear carriage & expression, well boned & muscled. Coped well with the demands of the large ring, but slightly lacking in angulation, so could not perform as well as 1; 3 Wilson's Boval Hurray For Harry at Travier.

LD (4,1) A very difficult class to judge as all three dogs were completely different types. 1 Page's Winflash Harvey Wallbanger, black, lightly spotted but with good pigmentation, elegant all over, excellent topline & tail carriage, but a little narrow in front. However correct angulation allowed him to power around with long driving strides & so deserved his placing; 2 Hardy's Mountsorrel Crescendo of Shydally, black, stronger type than 1, lovely broken ears, masculine head, darkest eyes, correct angulation, good tail carriage, well muscled, long striding movement. Coat not in best condition; 3 Ely's Wintermine Dynamo.

CC; 2 Lamb's Dalpetro Detorri, black, shorter coupled than 1, but a lot to like. Excellent dark pigmentation & spotting, elegant head shape, not as masculine as 1. Strong, well muscled topline & tail, held well on the move, correct angulation. Felt he would benefit from his handler taking longer strides to extend his movement to best advantage; 3 Kembrey's Dalmark The Showstormer.

VB (2,1) 1 Lenthall's Marbled White with Elaridge, black, 8 years, happy relaxed lady, the darkest of eyes, lovely feminine expression, nice even spotting, still moving well & freely, holding topline on the move, coping well with the sloping nature of the ring. BV

PB (7,1) 1 Kembrey's Dalmark The Sandwitch, liver, 11 months, pretty young lady, litter sister to PD winner, happy, cheeky madam, excellent dark liver colouring with dark, dark eyes, lovely head & expression, pretty spotting, good muscletone for a youngster, but not over exercised, lovely free driving movement, well balanced, one I shall be interested to watch in the future; 2 Croft's Doubtwell Amazing Grace, black, 11 months, happy baby, more lightly spotted, but still with good pigmentation, flying her ears a little which spoilt her expression. Lovely smooth topline, good angulation, positive movement, both these puppies showed some of the older girls how to move downhill; 3 Neath-Duggan's Buffrey Gift Wrapped.

JB (10,2) 1 Dore's Daldior Ace Of Diamonds, black, so much to like, one I have not seen before, lovely dark pigmentation, pretty face, great spotting, smaller type, correctly constructed all over, really true, sound, positive movement, great little personality & temperament; 2 Whincup's Tamilanda Lily The Pink, black, more lightly spotted, but with correct pigmentation, happy showgirl, beautifully schooled to show to her best advantage, very feminine, lovely ear carriage, flowing topline, well muscled, sound mover even in the downhill section; 3 Tillson's Spotswood Empress Leilia at Elabri.

YB (1) 1 Cheetham's Koroyza Cute As Candy for Dollywood, black, happy tempered, cheeky young lady, enjoying her day, dark pigmentation, correct ear carriage, pretty head & expression. Tail carried a little high. Well muscled, powerful mover. Handler needs to take more of a positive lead to get the best performance out of her.

PGB (9,2) 1 Scott-Allen & Davis' Tolutim Zaffre, black, super dark pigmentation, excellent spotting, lovely feminine head, correct ear carriage, straight front, good round bone, correct angulation, smooth topline, free flowing movement, didn't struggle at all with the sloping ring, handler moves her at the correct speed to her advantage; 2 Williams' Phadante Bossanova Baby, black, stronger type than 1, but still very feminine all over, particularly in head & expression, lovely dark eyes, good angulation, long neck, flowing topline, shown to best advantage with long striding movement from handler allowing her to really drive out behind; 3 Bell's Jamesley Sleeping Beauty.

LB (9,1) 1 Baker's Dalleaf Japonica, liver, one I placed highly as a baby & she has not disappointed with age. Smaller type, but boy can she motor. Strong driving action from behind, leaves others standing, whilst correct length of upper arm allows her to extend in front, well muscled in all the right places, very feminine, particularly in head & expression with such pretty, well carried ears, happy & confident. RCC; 2 Scott-Allen & Davis' Tolutim Chartreuse, black, quality bitch from this kennel, half sister to the PG winner, stronger type than 1, but elegant with super flowing neck & topline, well off for bone, straight front, correct angulation, powerful mover, no problems with the slope in the ring; 3 Alexander's Offordale White lady.

OB (7,1) 1 Dunnachie's Ch Dvojica Voodoo, black, so much has already been written about this beautiful bitch that it is hard to add more, in my opinion the best Dalmatian in the showring currently in the UK, the ultimate showgirl, she never disappoints her handler, moved with great enthusiasm, her correct construction allowing her to cope with the demands of the sloping ring, prettily spotted, happy & confident of temperament, perfect ear carriage framing her face with the darkest of eyes. CC; 2 Christie's Ch Sophtspot Snap Crackle N Pop, black, top quality bitch, excels in movement, really driving around the ring, well muscled, correct angulation, stronger in head, but still feminine with excellent dark pigmentation; 3 Neath-Duggan's Ch Buffrey Sprig O Mint.

Breeder Kembrey's fine group of livers, nice & typy, great condition, moved well.
