Critique for Bitches judged at NoEDC Ch. Show July 12th 2009.

I'd like to start with a few thanks; firstly for being given the opportunity to judge at this level, for the chance to examine some quality specimens of our wonderful breed and for your sportsmanship with my decisions; I had some difficult choices to make and when there is only one red card to give out some decisions were hard, but as the saying goes "it's the dog on the day". A huge thank you to my two able stewards Kevin Whincup and Bob Hernandez.

On the whole I was very pleased with the quality I found in the bitches; there are some lovely youngsters coming through the ranks and in the higher classes some super quality exhibits. On the down side I found a number with short tails which spoils the overall picture and some with flat feet with long toes which does not comply with our breed standard that asks for round compact feet with well arched toes. Temperaments were sound and most were shown with good coat condition with very little "Dally Rash" around. All had correct bite. Movement was easy to assess in the large indoor ring that has perfect flooring.
