DOGS
I would like to thank the exhibitors for bringing their dogs under me. Also my two excellent, hard working stewards who made everything run smoothly. Temperaments were good, tail
carriage, movement & cleanliness not so good. There was not the depth of quality throughout the classes that I had hoped for. However, I was pleased with my placed dogs. Several exhibits had coat problems
which affected some placings. I was surprised at the number of black dogs with "ticky" markings, even on really tight, white coats. When moving the dogs, novice exhibitors should try to watch where the judge is
standing and ensure they move their dogs straight up and down, if asked, from and back to the judge, not off at an angle. When being viewed from the side, ensure that the dog is nearest the judge, not you. Try to
watch the judging before your class so that you will know exactly what is expected of you.
