Thank you to the SKC for their kind hospitality, my stewards for their help and kindness and the exhibitors who had made the long journey. The ground conditions were uneven and muddy which did not help
exhibits and a pity some were out of coat. Overall a quality entry with very good Dalmatians and close decisions. There were some very nice champions and youngsters exhibited, but also some JW dogs and bitches
waiting for top awards which took my eye today for their outstanding breed type and they were rewarded.
Puppy Dog (4,1) 1.Todhunter & Robinsons MILLBELLE YOUNG GUN
Very promising evenly spotted liver puppy with neat spotting on his attractive head and good bone and depth of body. Moved with good length of stride but needs to tighten up in front and drop his puppy coat.
2. Talbot & Adams WINFLASH JUMPIN JACK FLASH
6 month old changing his coat too, but moved well fore and aft and in profile to secure his place. Attractive head with nice expression. Still very much a young lad with plenty of time to develop and grow on.
3. Brayshay-Allen CULHAWK FLASHBACK TO HARRY
Junior Dog (5,3) 1.Johnsons TYNEVALE THE TEASE Well grown liver, evenly marked with super head and good stop and handsome face. Good length of neck into
good lay of shoulder and plenty of heart and lung room. Did not like the wet uneven ground as he was inclined to move close behind in this class but improved in the next.
2. Barrett & Fort's SHULUNE ICE PHANTOM OF DALAMANTI Longer cast black spotted dog built on classic lines with plenty of bone and substance. Lovely dark eye and reach of neck. Moved well with good piston
action. Preferred the front angulation of my winner.
Yearling Dog (5,1) 1.Alexander's OFFORDALE CHEVALIER
This is the best dog I have seen for more than 5 years and fits the Dalmatian standard, he really is out of the top drawer. Has everything going for him with sound construction which means he can move correctly with drive from his hind quarters covering the ground with ease. Evenly distributed black spots on tight white coat he stood out today. Lovely clean head and handsome expression evenly spotted ears. The correct front angulation, held his topline and good turn of stifle. Just a junior he will mature and carry more muscle to advantage but his quality and type won him the
Dog CC and Group 2 2. Johnson's TYNEVALE THE TEASE won junior 3. Munro's TANSTAR SEA THE STARS
Post Graduate Dog (3) 1.Whiting's CIBRITH CAPTAIN KIRK JW SHCM A black spotted dog I gave best
puppy to the last time I judged and his topline has improved. Won this class with his flowing correct movement over his half brother. Short coupled he has an attractive head and good length of neck. Still needs time
to body up and develop more muscle condition. 2.Kaal'sDALMARK THE SANDMAN AT SCHUNIKKA Handsome liver spotted dog, similar in type to the winner with lovely neck carriage into firm topline, strong bone
and tight feet. Well muscled. Good depth of chest and turn of stifle. Would have liked him to move better. 3.Dodds & Pearson's KELEVRA MAN IN THE MIRROR
Limit – Dog (3)
1.Talbot's WINFLASH WILLE DO IT AT LEAVESLAKE JW Striking longer cast dog shown in superb condition with well defined spots. Correct construction he moved out with purpose and precision driving on from his hind
quarters. Well placed lay of shoulder and padded feet. Just preferred head of my CC winner in the challenge. 2. Dodds & Pearsons KELEVRA HUDSON HAWK Black spotted dog with plainer head, well
constructed he has an excellent topline and carried his tail well on the move when he was in absolutely in harmony with his handler. Good depth of chest. Could carry more muscle to advantage which would help him
move less erratically. 3. Smiths DALMINSHI STARCLUSTER
Open – Dog (6) 1.Croft's DOUBTWELL SHOW STOPPER JW
Longer cast black spotted dog who stood out in this strong class beating some quality exhibits. On checking back I had given this dog 1st in Junior when I last judged but did not recognise him today as he has improved so much in muscle and maturity. Shown in sparkling coat condition with dark pigmentation. Lovely head and expression with dark eyes. Correct front angulation and strong over the loin he produced long strides and free easy and stylish movement. Dense bone and tight feet. He has now grown up and is ready to compete with the big boys and today thoroughly deserved the Res CC. Lovely to hear the applause from the ringside after I judged this strong class.
2.Christie's SOPHTSPOT ABRACADABRA JW Powerful handsome black spotted dog with reachy neck, level topline and straight front. Good depth of chest and strong quarters which he used to produce sound
controlled movement. Very attentive to handler he is hard to ignore but preferred feet and length of stride of my winner today. 3. Clements PERDITA'S RIGHT AS RAIN AT CALDECACRE (IMP NOR)
Veteran – Dog (2) 1.Quayle's IR CH CUBALIBRE TOP SPOT SHCM Attractive bold black spotted dog with a lot of quality. Held his topline moving making a perfect picture in profile and moving with drive. Correct
let down hocks and depth of body. Put all in today and unlucky to meet my CC winner. 2. Beattie SMART BOY PRINCE SHCM Longer cast black spotted dog with good turn of stifle and level topline. Not in his
best coat and preferred front angulation of my winner.
Puppy Bitch (3) 1.Pearsons CANNABEE COAL BLACK Friendly, outgoing, pretty and promising 6 month old baby in superb coat and condition and well
distributed black spots on silky coat. Full of beans, but performed well enjoying her first show and moving soundly and holding her topline with correct length of tail. Well placed lay of shoulder. Nice tight feet.
Very well handled; I shall watch her with interest in the future. BPIB 2. Christie's SOPHTSPOT CHA CHA CHA Flashy shorter coupled feminine black spotted puppy of 7 months showing her head off and so well
handled. Long tapering neck into nicely balanced body. She is striking. In fact two promising puppies and it was a close call between the two but I just preferred the length of tail and feet of my winner.
3.Clements CALDECACRE CHARISMA
Junior – Bitch (6,1) 1.Alexander's OFFORDALE SAPPHIRE A beautiful typical young bitch of quality and litter sister to the dog CC winner and out of the same mould, She
has clear and well defined spots and dark pigmentation and eyes. Moved the best in the class holding her topline and using her hindquarters to drive on. Well placed lay of shoulder and lovely bone throughout. I
liked her a lot but she just did not want to play the game when it came to the challenge 2. Saunders DALLYDYL LADY OF SHALOTT Well grown liver spotted bitch with correct shape and strong round bone and
tight feet. Quite profuse spotting on her face but this did not detract from her overall quality. Good turn of stifle. Not quite as forward in showmanship as one but once settled she moved well.
3. Fort & Carruthers SHULUNE ICE FANTASY
Yearling – Bitch (4,1) 1.Quayle's CH CUBALIBRE SPOT ON JW
Feminine black spotted bitch with dark pigmentation, lovely head and expression and dark eyes. Shown in sparkling condition and carrying just the right amount of weight she stood out in this class. Well constructed she moved well from shapely rounded hindquarters to gain the Res CC
2.Fort's SHULUNE FANTASY SNAPDRAGON A lovely feminine Dalmatian beautifully decorated of a rich liver colour with lots of substance. Just the type I like with very attractive head strong quarters and

Post Graduate – Bitch (9) 1.Dodds & Pearson's KELEVRA MERCURY RISING Longer cast, strong, well boned bitch with sweet nature and large evenly distributed black spots. Pretty plain head, dark eyes and
evenly spotted ears. Good bend of stifle and well let down hocks she won this strong class moving soundly with drive holding her level topline; expertly handled. 2.Whitings CIBRITH CHINA ASTER Beautifully
presented pretty bitch with strength and substance and correct front angulation. Correct turn of stifle and driving well on the move and using her good length of tail to advantage.

Limit – Bitch (7,1) 1.Johnsons TYNEVALE TAKE THREE TO TANGO JW Longer cast, stylish, strong, nicely balanced pretty liver spotted bitch with
attractive evenly distributed spots on pure white coat; shown in tip top condition. Elegant neck into correct shoulder placement and level topline. Really comes into herself with her long striding action and she
kept showing. Gave her the Res CC the last time I judge and she well deserved the CC today. 2.Smiths TAMILANDA PRETTY IN PINK JW SHCM Quality compact black spotted bitch with elegance and dark
pigmentation. A lovely type with evenly distributed spots on clear coat. Nice dark eyes set in very pretty face. Moved with drive but not so sound today as my winner, probably due to the muddy conditions.
3.Cooper's CALDECACRE COURONNE UNDER CHARMINDALS SHCM
Open – Bitch (5,2) 1.Christie's CH SOPHTSPOT SNAP CRACKLE N POP JW She is still as lovely as ever and a very worthy champion; a superb type of
