Judge : Mrs J. Gates-Raw
The NOEDC committee, officers and super stewards, once again ensured that the dogs, exhibitors and I had a smoothly run show, many thanks to you all.
The old adage 'quality will out' was certainly true today as evidenced in the top honours awarded to the dogs and their breeders, who know the breed, recognise the need to stay true to Breed Standard
and their own high kennels standard. The conformation, musculature, balance, size, masculinity in their dogs and femininity in their bitches was excellent. It was a pleasure to go over so many with good
temperaments, only one grumbled. I only found one dog with poor dental hygiene.
Nail care and feet are areas I feel need addressing. Round, compact, with well arched toes, cat – like, round tough elastic pads are a breed standard requirement. Long nails can cause the dog to push back on his paws & pasterns, causing strain on his leg assemblies and interfering with his gait. With a variance of exercise and surface the natural filing process takes place, without the need for over zealous trimming which too can interfere with the gait. Good Luck to all exhibitors at CRUFTS 2012
Veteran Dog 2
1st Cleland's Dalesbred Larkin Around With Deovolante B/W. (Best Veteran In Show). A big beautiful boy, in a super condition. Balanced outline with good proportions and sound quarters. Very attractively
marked, with excellent pigmentation. Moved with drive, this boy could have run all day.

1st Lamb's Dalpetro Decaprio L/W (Best Puppy in Show) an eye catching boy, who ticked all my boxes, a masculine head and ears, good dentition with correct scissor bite developing his height, length and
