Birmingham National 2011 Judged by Mrs F Somerfield

This was a very special show for me as, sadly, it is the last time I shall judge this wonderful breed. There were many good things to enjoy, especially the very good temperaments & the general sportsmanship. However, I was concerned about the spotting. I cannot remember ever seeing so many livers with black spotting & the liver also came in a variety of shades from very dark to lemon on the same dog, in many countries these dogs would be disqualified.
