I was delighted to be able to give tickets in Dalmatians for the first time and although there was a considerable degree of  inconsistency in type in the lower classes this is only to be expected in a late maturing breed. Overall the bitches were better than the dogs but the best of both were lovely examples of this gorgeous breed.

MPD(1) 1,  Harrison-Stratford's Dalkerev's Dark Dragon: Well made with a lovely outline, a good head of expression, excellent angulation both fore and aft. Will fill out  in forechest and body as she matures. Movement quite good for a puppy but a little uncertain coming.

PD (3) 1 Baker's Dalleafs Devils Disciple: Lovely dog, good outline and angulation, good head and expression. A little uncertain on the move. 2 Howard-Gash's Casbethbach Conqueror: Nice outline although slightly straight in hindquarter, a little throaty and heavy in head 3  Harrison-Stratford's Dalkereve Dark Dragon

JD (4,2) 1 Baker's Dalleaf Devils Disciple 2 Alexander's Offordale Chevalier: Good head and expression but  rather heavy in forequarter and too long in neck. Balance not quite right at the moment.

ND (1) Thorne's Kesteven Helter Skelter At Castletop:  Spotting a little sparse in body. Satisfactory outline. Showing too much haw.  Good head otherwise

PGD (8,1) 1 Munro's Tanstar Sea The Stars: A lovely  example of the breed, good head and expression, excellent outline and  conformation and good on the move. On the light side for a dog but beautifully  put together. 2 Williams' Phadante Brighton Rock: another nice job with not  quite the angulation of one in hindquarter. Moved well.

LD(7) rather disappointing class. Many dogs had desirable characteristics but also failed in some important respects 1 Croft's Doubtwell Show Stopper JW: Good outline and conformation and very good movement. Excellent head and expression. Well spotted. 2 Rose Candidal's Run Forest Run: Rather heavy but with good construction. Spotting could be more even.

OD (9) 1 Stocks' Ch Dalmark The Shaded Moon At Nospar JW: This is  an excellent example of the breed. It was very good on the move and has lovely construction a beautiful head and expression. DCC 2 Adderley's Leiahart Chicago  Bear Sh.Cm: Lovely outline and movement. A little play in head but good structure and confirmation. RDCC.

VD (2) 1 Bale-Stock's Ch Spring  Celebration By Appaloosa: Lovely example of the breed with excellent  confirmation and movement although showing a little too much length. 2 Lewis'  Talk Of The Town JW: Good outline although a little throaty and heavy while he lacks forechest.

MPB (3) 1 Fletcher & Coupe's, Shacarlu Material Girl At  Dalimese: Lovely outline with a beautiful head. Was very unsettled on the move but I saw enough. 2 Stevenson Dalkereve's Divine Decision For Macula: A  nice bitch overall but a little straight behind 3 Townson & Pardoe's  Shacarlu Bumblebee: Good outline but overreached and consequently crabbed on  the move.

PB (6,1) A class of lovely puppies who all insisted on moving  playfully! 1 Carvell's Holderness Hocus Pocus: good head expression and  structure 2 Stevenson Dalkereve's Divine Decision For Macula.

JB (7,1) 1 Alexander's Offordale Catalina: Gorgeous bitch, lovely structure and outline with an excellent head and expression, very good on the move but feeling the  cold today. 2 Adderley's Buffrey May Queen At Leiahart: Another lovely bitch with an excellent head. Good outline. A little less smooth on the move and one.

NB (5) 1 Alexander Offordale Catalina 2 Leach's Hebemor Twice The Dice:  Another good one with a lovely outline although her tail is set a little low

PGB (14,1) This was a very difficult class which showed rather more potential than fulfilment. 1 Thorne's Cibrith Cosmos At Castletop: good clean outline and  structure, lovely head and expression. 2 Dodds & Pearso's Kelevra Mercury  Rising: Lovely bitch although a little plain in head and less well angulated  than 1.

LB (12,2) 1 Gibbs' Phadante Dixie Lily JW: a lovely example of the breed beautiful head and expression good balance and movement. 2 Rose's Candidals Flirty Frankie: another lovely bitch. A little finer than one, more  racy, but excellent balance and lovely head.

OB (9) This was a beautiful  class with the first five being excellent examples of the breed and very  close-up. 1 Page's, Ch Winflash Spring Angel ShCM: This bitch has a lovely construction and conformation. Moved supremely well and has a superb head BCC & BOB. 2 Neath-Duggan's Buffrey Gift Wrapped Jw ShCM. Another very good  bitch, well-balanced and a super outline Close up to 1 RBCC.

VB (5,2) 1 Rose's Washakie Idaho By Candidals: Gorgeous free moving bitch of beautiful  proportions. Head slightly on the plain side. 2 Carter's Dalkiss Spring  Surprise: Lovely head and expression just a shade long cast.
